Blezza ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of salon owners, managers, and staff who use our software. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What Data We Collect
1.1 Data Stored Locally (On Your Computer)
Blezza is an offline-first desktop application. The majority of your data is stored locally on your computer in an embedded PostgreSQL database:
- Client names, phone numbers, and visit history
- Staff details, attendance, and payout records
- Bills, invoices, and payment records
- Product inventory and stock transactions
- Appointments and service catalogue
- Expense records and cash tally data
This data never leaves your computer unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
1.2 Data Collected by Us
When you interact with our website or activate a license, we may collect:
- License activation: Organization name, branch name, machine identifier (for license binding)
- Website analytics: Anonymous page views, country (via IP geolocation for currency display), browser type
- Contact forms: Name, email, and message content if you reach out to us
- Payment information: Processed securely through third-party payment processors — we do not store card details
1.3 Data via Cloud Sync (Optional)
If you enable multi-PC sync, the following is transmitted to our sync servers:
- Bills, clients, staff, inventory, and appointment data
- Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest
- Sync can be disabled at any time from Settings
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and maintain the Blezza software
- To validate your software license
- To enable multi-PC data synchronization (if opted in)
- To display pricing in your local currency on our website
- To respond to support requests
- To improve our software based on anonymous usage patterns
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data or your salon's business data with any third party, except:
- Payment processors: To handle subscription payments
- Cloud infrastructure: AWS/Neon for sync data storage (encrypted)
- Legal requirements: If required by law or court order
4. Data Security
We take security seriously:
- Local data: Protected by your operating system's user account and Windows DPAPI credential encryption
- Passwords: Hashed using PBKDF2-SHA256 with unique salts
- License keys: Signed with Ed25519 cryptographic signatures
- Sync data: TLS 1.3 encryption in transit, AES encryption at rest
- Database credentials: Stored in Windows Credential Manager, never in plain text
5. Data Retention
- Local data: Stays on your computer as long as you use Blezza. You can delete it anytime by uninstalling.
- Sync data: Retained on our servers while your subscription is active. Deleted within 90 days of subscription cancellation.
- License data: Retained for the duration of your license.
- Website analytics: Anonymized and retained for up to 12 months.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — all salon data is on your local machine
- Delete your data — uninstall the software or contact us to delete sync/account data
- Opt out of cloud sync at any time
- Export your data via CSV exports available in all report modules
- Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us
7. Cookies
Our website uses minimal cookies:
- Country preference: Stored in localStorage to remember your currency selection
- No tracking cookies: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking
8. Children's Privacy
Blezza is a business management tool intended for salon professionals (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
9. International Data
Blezza serves salons in 12+ countries. If you enable cloud sync, your data may be processed on servers located in the United States (AWS). By using cloud sync, you consent to this transfer.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of Blezza after changes constitutes acceptance.
